The Volkswagen Pallet Project is a multi-organization initiative that aims to bring oversized pallet wood from the developing site of Volkswagen Group of America's Chattanooga Operations to the artists, carpenters, gardeners, and crafters of Chattanooga.

Partners in this project include Architectural Surfaces, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the Hamilton County Highway Department, CreateHere and Volkswagen in Chattanooga. Today, the Pallet Project has received national press attention, including on GOOD Magazine’s blog, and the projects it’s enabled are the backbone for creative endeavors across the city.

For more information on who’s using this wood, and what they’re creating, visit the blog dedicated to the project.
